Email updates. When you join our list, we collect your email address and records of your signup and confirmation, including dates and IP addresses. We use this information to manage your subscription, document consent, and send Dark Factory Field Notes, daily, with technical examples and pre-FEED ETSS proposal opportunities described on the form. A new subscription becomes active after you confirm through email. You can unsubscribe using the link in an update or contact us at feedback@darkfactorymaker.com.

Feedback and enquiries. When you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond and assess your enquiry. Please send only the information needed for an initial discussion. Arrange an appropriate information-sharing process with us before sending confidential project files, sensitive personal information, or information belonging to someone else.

Service providers. MailerLite operates our signup form and email list. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and forwards feedback email to our Gmail inbox, which is provided by Google. Loading the form connects your browser to MailerLite services. These providers process information needed to deliver their services, which can include technical connection information. Our site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for website usage and performance measurement. MailerLite email reporting can include delivery, opening, and link-click activity.

AI-assisted administration. We use AI tools, including OpenAI, to help administer and test our website and signup process, and to process information you choose to supply in enquiries for research, drafting and customer communication. Signup records and supplied enquiry information may be processed by these tools. Do not supply confidential or third-party restricted information until appropriate information-sharing arrangements have been agreed.

Processing outside Canada. Our service providers may process information outside Canada, where it can be subject to local laws and lawful access by authorities. Retention and your choices. We retain information for the purposes described here and to meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it non-identifying. Unsubscribing stops future marketing updates; limited records may be retained to document consent and honour your unsubscribe request. You may ask for access, correction, or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing feedback@darkfactorymaker.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
